Once students are in the Beginner Silversmithing Course or have received instruction as to lapidary skills, they are welcome to attend Open Shop at any of the scheduled hours. An instructor is always present for support and guidance, but generally the students are expected to work independently. Shop fees are $3 an hour. The shop has stone slices for sale for lapidary in case the members, have not yet had a chance to collect their own stones.
