Meetings/Activities Planned so far for 2020

  • Meeting/Activities Planned So Far for 2020

Our shop is currently closed at the Tett Centre and will remain so until a vaccine is available or until Covid 19 restrictions are eased.  The Tett building is open, limited hours, 9-1pm each day. We are unable to open at this time as the 6 foot distancing is a problem in our studio as is the need to clean and sanitize all surfaces touched and all tools used. As we are not a business that needs to open, we have elected to remain closed. Sorry for this, but the health and safety of our instructors and members and the public is our foremost concern at this time.

  • Friday February 21 at Miller Hall, Queen’s University. We have arranged a tour and talk for club members at Queen’s mineral museum in Miller Hall. The talk by Linda Tsuji is Meteorites and Fossils  If you haven’t been before, this is a great opportunity not to be missed. Starting time is 630pm.  All are welcome.
  • Saturday March 28, 2-5pm at the Shop. We will be using polymer clay to create unique switch plates.
  • Friday April 17 at 630pm at the Shop. This will be our annual rock auction and annual AGM meeting. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar.  Tom Kaddits will hopefully be our auctioneer.  Viewing will begin at 630pm.  Plan on arriving early so that you can pick out your favourite pieces that you wish to bid on.  The auction will start at 7pm.
  • May, June, July, August, September, October field trips.  In the Spring, we will publish the planned field trips for 2020. No meetings are held again until November.
