Catherine Byers first became involved in the club in 2022 when she took the Beginners Silversmithing course. Since then, she has taken a wide variety courses offered at the club to continue building her skill set. Upon her retirement as a local elementary teacher in 2025, she was inspired to become more involved with this amazing organization, as a way to give back for the many opportunities the club has provided her. 
As a teacher she always been passionate about learning, sharing and engaging with others. The opportunity to assist with instructing the Beginners Silversmithing course furthers her own journey of learning and connecting with others.
